What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda came to me through yoga. At first, like most, I was skeptical. How could a 5,000+ year old holistic health practice be relevant in today’s uber-paced, evidence-based, stress-ridden, instant relief-driven world? A modern medical world micro-focused on disease without considering the macro dynamics at play within and without the individual behind the dis-ease. A system whose epi-center revolves around highly trained specialists diagnosing and treating symptomatically rather than investigating root causes of ailments. One dominated by Big Pharma, prescription drugs, time and money.

So could an ancient Indian system of health that promotes a mind/body/spirit approach to wellness address the stresses, pains and challenges of a modern lifestyle?

The answer is an unequivocal YES.

Yes if addressing root cause of your health issues (not just treating symptoms) is important to you.

Yes if you believe in a preventative approach to healing and well-being.

Yes if personalized diet, nutrition, behavioral & lifestyle protocols are the foundational pillars of reclaiming your health.

Yes if you believe your health is in your hands, not at the mercy of medical professionals.

Yes if you’re fed up being treated like a lab experiment: probed, prodded, dehumanized and unseen.
