Ayurveda Health Consultation

What does an Ayurvedic consultation consist of?

A one-on-one 90-minute consultation to establish a person’s constitution and identify their balances and imbalances. By way of a thorough eight-fold exam (called Ashtavidha Pariksha) the practitioner examines the pulse, tongue, eyes, skin, and inquires about other areas of body and bodily functions in order to identify which Ayurvedic practices may be adopted to regain balance. These may include daily self-care routines, better nutritional choices, yoga, breathwork and movement practices, massage, meditation as well as natural herbal supplements.

First consult: 180$ – 90mins (tax incl) — Follow-up: 132$ – 60mins (tax incl)

What is Ayurveda?

आयुर्वेदĀyurveda

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word derived from 2 roots: Ayur, meaning life, daily living; and Veda, meaning knowledge. Its roots are grounded in ancient Vedic science and approaches health, wellness, illness, and disease through macro-observations in nature, the universe, our cosmos, and their direct micro-relations to the body, the mind, and spirit.

It focuses on prevention and the body’s natural power to heal itself. Ayurveda teaches that by identifying the root cause of an imbalance, not the symptoms, the body can heal itself. In Ayurveda, healing starts from within.

What excites you about Ayurveda?
Its real potential to help, to heal, and to inspire self-awareness about one’s health in a whole, holistic way. It excites me to discover this for myself and to be a part of bringing this to others.
What makes you believe in Ayurveda; what meaning does it hold for you?
From the little parts and remedies I’ve applied to myself, I can see its real, concrete value. Knowing my dosha and understanding what can positively or negatively affect my balance helps me connect and understand myself mentally, physically, and even spiritually. I judge myself and others less when I observe the world through the Ayurvedic lens.
What are the coolest aspects of Ayurveda, as it relates to yourself and to people in our society?
I’d say its simplicity of application, its practical and sensical approach, and its way of bringing and bridging ancient wisdom to modern times, ways, and lifestyles.
How do you feel when you practice Ayurveda, and what makes you happiest in your contact with clients?
Ayurveda feels challenging, exciting, and like I’m serving something—helping. I feel as though I’m helping clients empower themselves, while at the same time learning and being forced to deepen my knowledge and comprehension. I enjoy researching and reading into a specific topic, illness, or issue, and discovering a solution.
